Eyelit Technologies is a leading global provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other integrated software solutions that optimize manufacturing and supply chain productivity. We’ve worked closely with the firm over the years, supporting their ongoing digital initiatives and helping them build a strong online presence.
Eyelit sought our help with a complex challenge. They wanted to migrate to a new domain, eyelit.ai, which would also involve consolidating three existing websites into a single, unified platform. The goals for the migration were to:
Improve website speed and scalability
Modernize the design and structure
Preserve (and ideally boost) the brand’s SEO performance
Streamline the online user experience
The complexity stemmed from combining content, navigation, and branding from three different sources—while ensuring the merging and transition didn’t negatively impact the new site’s performance or search visibility.
We developed a strategic website migration plan tailored to Eyelit’s needs. Our solution
focused on:
Careful content unification and reorganization
Continuous monitoring to catch and resolve issues early on
Robust SEO preservation tactics
Technical execution with emphasis on performance and scalability
Before initiating the migration, we thoroughly analyzed all three existing websites. This included evaluating their structure, content, user flows, and SEO performance. The goal was to determine what should be preserved, optimized, or removed to create a streamlined and effective new platform.
One of the primary concerns was maintaining search engine rankings and minimizing traffic loss. To achieve this, we:
Developed a comprehensive redirect map to ensure all old URLs pointed to the corresponding new pages
Optimized the site structure for better navigation and improved user experience
Reviewed and updated meta tags and key pages to align with current SEO best practices
Ensured all critical SEO elements were in place, including schema markup and clean URLs
Next, we focused on consolidating and optimizing content from the three websites. During this process, we:
Conducted a content audit to remove outdated and duplicate information
Restructured user journeys, making the interface more intuitive and efficient
Enhanced page load speeds by implementing modern technologies and performance optimizations
Once the content was unified and optimized, we moved into the technical execution phase. This step ensured that the new site was stable, scalable, and met Eyelit’s operational goals. Technical implementation involved:
Content, databases, user data, and media assets were ported to the new platform.
All essential code, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and supporting libraries, was migrated and optimized.
We implemented custom software solutions tailored to Eyelit’s specific needs. This went beyond standard WordPress capabilities to support unique business logic and workflows.
We ensured the site remained mobile-friendly and maintained fast loading speeds across all devices.
Permanent 301 redirects were implemented for any modified URLs to preserve SEO value.
Before going live, we conducted extensive tests to ensure the new website was fully functional and met all performance criteria. We tested the site in three main ways based on the initial goals:
Verified that redirects and internal links were correctly implemented
Assessed website speed and responsiveness across devices
Performed an SEO and mobile-friendliness audit to confirm best practices were observed
Following a successful test phase, we launched the new website and closely monitored its performance. Key metrics such as indexing, user engagement, and organic traffic were carefully tracked to quickly address any potential issues and ensure a smooth transition.
The migration was completed successfully, with:
A faster, more intuitive user experience
A fully modernized and unified platform under one domain
Improved content discoverability and easier content management for Eyelit’s team
Zero loss in search rankings post-launch
Consolidating multiple sites can strengthen your brand and simplify user journeys.
Strategic SEO planning is essential to avoid traffic loss during a migration.
A clear roadmap and phased execution reduce site migration risks and ensure a smooth transition.
Collaboration between development, content, and SEO teams is critical.
The Eyelit migration project was a great example of what’s possible with the right approach to digital transformation. Through thoughtful planning and execution, we helped Eyelit transition to a stronger, faster, and more cohesive web presence.
We’re proud to continue our partnership with Eyelit, helping this company stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
